For the Fri., July 29 rodeo performance, the Stampede in Helena will host the Man Up Crusade, a crusade to stop domestic violence.Fans are asked to wear purple to the rodeo that night, to bring awareness to the issue of domestic violence. Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) and the Montana Department of Justice, in conjunction with local law enforcement, have identified an alarming number of fatal overdoses across the state in the last two weeks. In the period from May 22 to June 1, there have been at least 8 fatal overdoses, likely due to opioids. Two people received relatively minor injuries Wednesday in a surprise close encounter with a moose in Big Sky. A group of seven people were walking between Turkey Leg and Sitting Bull roads at Big Sky Resort about 10 a.m. when they were charged by a cow moose.
