    Members of the Whitehall Town Council will need more time to decide if they will approve a business license for a medical marijuana dispensary. At their monthly meeting Monday, the Council voted unanimously to table the approval of a business license for Peace of Mind Dispensary.     The Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology (MBMG) Groundwater Investigation Program (GWIP) conducted a groundwater study in the Upper Jefferson Valley. This study was partly funded by Barrick Golden Sunlight Mine, and Madison and Jefferson Counties.     Joe C. Kenworthy, age 89, of Whitehall passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at the Tobacco Root Care Center at Sheridan, Montana. Joe was born on June 2, 1930 in Butte, Montana to Vernon and Catherine Kenworthy. Joe is survived by brother Bill Kenworthy of Whitehall and special friend Evelyn.     The Whitehall High School boys basketball team will return home for the first time since December 21 with two games this week in Varsity Gym. The Trojans (1-7, 0-4 5B) will host conference foe Townsend on Thursday, January 16, and Missoula Loyola on January 18. Head Coach Zach McLean said with the new week it will be a new challenge.     The Whitehall High School wrestling team once again showed they are a major force in Class B/C with a third-place finish out of 29 teams at last week's Cut Bank Invitational. Whitehall was the top Class B/C finisher at the 52nd annual tournament with Class A Schools Havre and Fergus finishing in first and second.     The Whitehall High School girls basketball team moved to 7-1 on the season with two road wins last week. The Lady Trojans defeated Manhattan 52-51 Thursday and 67-38 win Friday at Twin Bridges.
