Jefferson County Road Department EQUIPMENT OPERATOR: One permanent, full-time position in the Jefferson County Road Department located at the Montana City Shop. This position is under the supervision of the county road supervisor and perform construction, maintenance and repair of county roads, culverts and bridges. Must have knowledge of and be able to operate compactors, chip spreaders, dump trucks, motor graders, snow plows, loaders, mowers, rollers and dozers. Must have a minimum of three years experience in operating and maintaining heavy equipment. Possession of a Class A Montana Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with no restrictions, or the ability to obtain one within three months of hire is required.. Applicants are required to live within thirty minutes driving time of the shop due to emergency call-outs.
