Dear Editor, Did I read the article correctly that the town of Whitehall is considering cutting the hours of our law enforcement? I was under the impression that the main object of our law enforcement officers was to protect and serve the community of Whitehall and surrounding area, not generate revenue. I see our officers’ presence as a deterrent. Maybe that’s the reason they’ve not written many tickets. Their presence before and after school keeps our children safe.
