Dear Editor, Two great things about Montana are our fish and wildlife. Whether you are a hunter, angler, or bird watcher this all is being threatened by legislation proposed by Matt Rosendale. He and Andrew Clyde (R_GA) propose to repeal laws that partially fund state fish and wildlife agencies, such as Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks. Many of you probably read Roger Siemen’s obituary in the Whitehall Ledger (Jan.12) or in the Montana Standard. Facebook has some complimentary posts that many of you will find interesting. Roger led a full life with many accomplishments. On June 12 Jefferson Valley Sportsman's Association (JVSA) and two employees of the Butte Field Office of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) sprayed noxious weeds in the southern portion of the Bull Mountains north of Whitehall. Most of the spraying was done along the Paul Gulch Road (Dump Road) on Public Land to Mud Springs on the Beaverhead – Deerlodge National Forest.
